A New Frontier – RFID Access Control & Reloadable Media

In the Summer of 2022, we installed Axess RFID gates at the bottom of the Coach Chairlift, Deer Point Express Chairlift, Morning Star Express Chairlift, and Superior Express Chairlift. RFID technology scans your season pass and ticket media through your gear every time you pass through the gates.

What is Media?

Media is what we call the physical card that holds your season pass or ticket information. These cards have Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) chips layered between them, and when you pass through the AX500 Smart Gates, your season pass or ticket is validated.

Your media holds a $20 value for season passes and $5 for lift tickets and is reloadable for upwards of five years. You cannot transfer your media to another guest, and it does have a replacement cost if lost.
