Frequently Asked Questions
Can we use our own vendors?
Outside vendors are allowed with prior approval, though we do offer preferred vendor recommendations for photography, florals, coordination, and entertainment.
Do you offer on-site coordination?
No, we require that all couples either hire a professional wedding coordinator or designate a responsible member of their wedding party to act as the main point of contact and oversee event coordination throughout the planning process and on the day of the wedding.
When Should we Book Our Wedding?
We recommend booking 6–12 months in advance, especially for peak season. Dates fill quickly, so reach out early to reserve your preferred time.
Do you offer winter wedding options?
Not currently, but we hope to in the future.
is transportation provided to and from the venue?
Transportation is not included, but we can recommend local providers for group transport up the mountain.
What happens if there is inclement weather?
We always have a backup plan! Our outdoor ceremony venue has an indoor alternative available in case of weather changes.
Is lodging available at Bogus Basin?
While Bogus Basin does not currently offer on-site lodging, the Pioneer Condos are rentable through Airbnb or Vrbo nearby the Pioneer Lodge. There are also nearby accommodations in Boise that we partner with. We are happy to provide local lodging recommendations for you and your guests.
Can I decorate the ceremony and reception site?
You are welcome to bring your own decor. Set up must take place on the day of your event; all clean-up and removal of decorations must be done at the end of the event.
Is there handicap access at the venues?
Yes, all wedding venues are ADA compliant.
Is there space available for the wedding party to get ready?
Yes, both the groom and the bride have access to separate areas to get ready.
Can I bring in my own Caterer?
All catering needs are provided by our in-house catering team. You are welcome to use your own baker for your cake.
Do you provide linens?
Yes, Bogus Basin provides standard black linens. If you prefer a custom color, you are welcome to provide your own linens for the event.
How late can my reception go?
The venue is available for a 13-hour time period; events must end by 10 pm. Decorations need to be cleaned by 11:00 pm.

About Bogus Basin Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area is a 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to engaging the community to provide accessible, affordable, and fun year-round mountain recreation and education. Opened in 1942, Bogus Basin offers 2,600 acres of daytime skiable terrain and 200 acres for night skiing, seven chairlifts and three conveyor lifts, and an 800-foot tubing hill. The Nordic Center offers 37 kilometers of groomed trails for skiing and snowshoeing. Environmental education and community outreach programs, primarily youth, serve over 20,000 individuals annually. Summer activities include The Glade Runner Mountain Coaster, The Mine Shaft Challenge Course, mountain biking, events, hiking and chairlift service for hike and bike transport. Bogus Basin is located 16.5 miles north of Boise, Idaho, and operates under a special use permit with the Boise National Forest. www.bogusbasin.org
