Alpine Skiing & Snowboarding

Bogus Basin is located just 16 miles from Boise and provides opportunities for you to affordably recreate on 10 lifts serving 88 runs, across 2,600 acres of terrain, with 1,800 vertical feet of continuous descent.

Did you know Alpine Skiing & Snowboarding is a pastime enjoyed by over 9
million people annually. Last season alone Bogus Basin was able to provide
the Treasure Valley with more than 350,000 opportunities to ski or snowboard.

If you are new to the sport, Alpine Skiing and Snowboarding involves traveling uphill on a “lift”
followed by enjoying the ride down the snow on one of the mountain’s many trails. Lifts can be
anything from a moving conveyor-lift to a high-speed chairlift.

ALPINE TERRAIN PARK

No winter offer is complete without a robust terrain park! As apart of Bogus Basin’s non-profit mission affordable access to mountain recreation, your season kicks off with a hikeable terrain park, which is offer to the community for free. This typically happens in the early to middle part of Noverber and continues until the mountain opens. Once operations are in full swing, you can find jumps on Claim Jumper, specialty park build on Playground, rails and boxes on Shaker Ridge, beginner and intermediate features in the base area park, and beginner features on weekends in the Nomad park, located at the bottom of B3.

Alpine Restrictions

  • Beginner lift tickets access Coach chairlift and Coach conveyor lifts only.
  • Tax not included.
  • Birth date cut-off is December 1st, 2018.
  • Junior pricing only valid with valid ID
  • All activities, prices, lift openings, terrain access and hours of operation are subject to change at any time.
  • Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Traveler’s Checks, Bogus Bucks (Bogus Basin gift card) and Cash accepted. ATM located at the JR Simplot Lodge.

Skier & Snowboarder Responsibility Code

  • Always stay in control, and be able to stop or avoid other people or objects.
  • People ahead of you have the right of way. It is your responsibility to avoid them.
  • You must not stop where you obstruct a trail or are not visible from above.
  • Whenever starting downhill or merging into a trail, look uphill and yield to others.
  • Always use devices to help prevent runaway equipment.
  • Observe all posted signs and warnings. Keep off closed trails and out of closed areas.
  • Prior to using any lift, you must have the knowledge and ability to load, ride and unload safely.
