August 2, 2018 (BOISE, ID)– Bogus Basin announced today that another “Music on the Mountain” event is planned at the nonprofit recreation area this Saturday, August 4th. Live music will play from the Simplot Base Area stage from 12:00pm to 6:00pm. The free “Music on the Mountain” concert series has become an increasingly popular summer tradition for residents and visitors to the area interested in getting outside, escaping the heat, and heading to the mountain.

Summer temperatures at Bogus Basin are generally 15 to 20 degrees cooler than the Treasure Valley, and visitors to the area this weekend will be treated to a welcome new addition on the Base Area Plaza: a series of sunshades to provide cover and respite from the heat. “We are always looking for new ways to improve the guest experience on the mountain,” said General Manager, Brad Wilson.

The Music on the Mountain series is sponsored by 10 Barrel Brewing Co. Saturday’s music headliner is local blues band, The Johnny Boy Kunk & Sam Gates. Bogus Basin is open daily from 11:00am to 7:00pm. For more information on activities and amenities, including the Glade Runner Mountain Coaster, scenic chairlift rides, and more than 35 miles of trails, visit www.bogusbasin.org.
