Bogus Basin Board of Directors Selects New General Manager

October 26, 2015 (BOISE, ID)– Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area today announced that the Board of Directors has appointed Brad Wilson as the General Manager effective November 9th. Wilson will become the seventh General Manager in the history of the non-profit recreation area. The Board of Directors selected Wilson after a months-long search.

“We have conducted a thorough and careful selection process,” said Tyler Wymond, Chair of the Search Committee. “We reviewed many candidates from around the country and the world. I am delighted that Brad Wilson has been selected to lead Bogus Basin into the next important chapter of our development. Brad has the experience and the vision that make him the right person to take this important role in the Treasure Valley community.”

“I am sure that once you meet Brad and spend some time with him, you will be as impressed as we are. Brad is a careful and innovative manager with many years of industry leadership and a distinguished list of accomplishments,” said Brian Ellsworth, President of the Board of Directors. “We are lucky to have him coming to Bogus Basin.”

Brad Wilson has over thirty years of experience in management, marketing, sales, and master planning within the ski and hospitality industry. Wilson was the General Manager of Diamond Peak Ski Resort at Lake Tahoe. Wilson has also worked as the President and COO of Catalina Island Resort Services, Director of Marketing at Alpine Meadows, Assistant General Manager at Mountain High Resort, as well as lead marketing roles at Sugarbush, Bear Mountain, and Brian Head resorts.

Bogus Basin is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to engaging the community to provide accessible, affordable, and fun year-round mountain recreation and education. Opened in 1942, Bogus Basin offers 2,600 acres of daytime skiable terrain, and 165 acres for night skiing; seven lifts and two people-moving carpets; and an 800-foot tubing hill. The Nordic Center offers 37 kilometers of groomed trails. Summer activities include mountain biking, amphitheater events, disc golf, private events, and hiking.
