Bogus Basin’s 2021-22 Winter Season To End With A Splash On April 3rd

March 30, 2022 (BOISE, ID)– Bogus Basin announced today that the 2021-22 winter season will end Sunday, April 3rd. Closing day activities include a “pond skim” – a rite of passage that involves snowboarding or skiing into a frigid pool with the goal of skimming across to the other side.

BOGUS BASIN FINAL WEEKEND OPERATIONS:

  • -Weekend operating hours are 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • -The Pond Skim begins on Sunday, April 3rd at 1:00 p.m. in the base area; sign-in starts at 12:00 p.m.
  • -Deerpoint (#1) and Coach (#7) chairlifts, and the conveyer lifts are scheduled to operate
  • -Lift ticket prices have been reduced
  • -The Double R Ranch BBQ Smokehouse and Simplot Lodge will be open for full food & beverage service

Summer operations, including the Glade Runner Mountain Coaster and other base area activities, are scheduled to open over the Memorial Day weekend, May 28-30. The opening of hiking and biking trails is dependent upon conditions. The area plans to operate weekends-only through mid-June, and expand to seven days a week starting Friday, June 17. About Bogus Basin Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area is a 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to engaging the community to provide accessible, affordable, and fun year-round mountain recreation and education. Opened in 1942, Bogus Basin offers 2,600 acres of daytime skiable terrain and 200 acres for night skiing, seven chairlifts and three people-mover carpets, and an 800-foot tubing hill. The Nordic Center offers 37 kilometers of groomed trails for skiing and snowshoeing. Environmental education and community outreach programs, primarily youth, serve over 20,000 individuals annually.
