June 2, 2015 (BOISE, ID)– Bogus Basin is ready for summer. Today, the nonprofit mountain recreation area announced a full range of activities and events for families, hikers, and mountain bikers of all ages and skill levels. Beginning Saturday, June 6th, The JR Simplot Lodge will be open with full food & beverage service every Thursday through Sunday through Labor Day.

BOGUS BASIN SUMMER SCHEDULE

JR SIMPLOT LODGE HOURS OF OPERATION

June 6th through September 6th

  • Thursday: 4-8pm
  • Friday: 4-8pm
  • Saturday: 11am-7pm
  • Sunday: 11am-7pm

Live music on the patio: Every Saturday & Sunday from 2-5pm, beginning July 5th

The JR Simplot Lodge will be open for full food & beverage service, including an expanded menu at Bogus Creek Grill featuring fresh soups, sandwiches, and salads. Additionally, sunscreen, bike patch kits, energy bars, and bike shuttle tickets will be available for purchase.

AMPHITHEATER/SUMMER CHAIRLIFT SERVICES

Three all-day music events are planned for the St. Luke’s Don Scott Memorial Amphitheater: July 4th, August 1st, and September 5th. On these days, the Deerpoint Chair (#1) will operate for scenic rides and mountain bike transport, and local retailers and vendors will be on site. Cost for an all-day pass is $25. Single ride chairlift tickets cost $10. Chairlift hours of operation are 11:00am-4:30pm. All ages welcome.

BIKE SHUTTLE SERVICE

Beginning June 13th a bike shuttle will run from the Simplot Lodge to Pioneer Lodge Saturdays and Sundays from 11am-5pm. Cost: $25 per day for unlimited rides/$10 single ride. Tickets will be available for purchase at the Simplot Lodge. All ages welcome.

RIDE THE LYNX MOUNTAIN BIKE FESTIVAL

Ride the Lynx, a three day team mountain bike event, campout and festival, will take place August 6-8. Ride the Lynx is a unique style of race where you get to choose what trail you ride, when you ride it, and whom you ride it with. Camping will be set up in the #4 parking lot, and music and entertainment are planned throughout the event. For more information, visit ridethelynx.com.

Bogus Basin is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to engaging the community to provide accessible, affordable, and fun year-round mountain recreation and education. Opened in 1942, Bogus Basin offers 2,600 acres of daytime skiable terrain, and 165 acres for night skiing; seven lifts and two people-mover carpets; and an 800-foot tubing hill. The Nordic Center offers 37 kilometers of groomed trails. Summer activities include mountain biking, amphitheater events, disc golf, private events, and hiking.
