
Pond Skim 2025
Returning to Bogus Basin: The Pond Skim 2025! Join us on Saturday, April 19th, for the annual Pond Skim and Bonus Weekend celebration! Bring your favorite fun outfits, wild costumes, and wacky gear for an unforgettable day of springtime excitement on the mountain!
All 2024/25 Winter and Nordic Pass Holders are welcome to ride on April 19th and April 20th. That includes all 2024/25 True Bogus, Beyond Bogus, Winter, Value, Midweek, Twilight, Night, and Nordic Season Pass Holders on the Bonus Weekend 2025.
Day tickets can be purchased online and in person at the Mountain Ticket Office.
Schedule
- 8:30 am skimmer check-in on the 3rd floor of the J.R. Simplot Lodge.*
- 11 am DJ Locomotive
- 12 pm Pond Skim begins (and ends when it ends!)
* If you have not checked in by 10 am, your spot will be forfeited
Registration
Registration will be online this year, opening April 3rd at 12 pm. Once we are full, we are full!
- Registration opened on April 3rd and is now FULL
- We may accept day-of registration to fill any spots of Pond Skimmers not checked in by 10 am
- Pond Skimmers registered online need to check-in in person before 10am, or their spot will be given to people on the waiting list
Please Note:
- Snowboard or skis only. (No snow blades, or Nordic skis)
- No poles allowed
- One skimmer at a time
- *Parents/Guardians of minors are encouraged to attend
Spectators can watch from the sidelines, ICCU Base Area, and J.R. Simplot Lodge.

About Bogus Basin Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area is a 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to engaging the community to provide accessible, affordable, and fun year-round mountain recreation and education. Opened in 1942, Bogus Basin offers 2,600 acres of daytime skiable terrain and 200 acres for night skiing, seven chairlifts and three people-mover carpets, and an 800-foot tubing hill. The Nordic Center offers 37 kilometers of groomed trails for skiing and snowshoeing. Environmental education and community outreach programs, primarily youth, serve over 20,000 individuals annually. Summer activities include The Glade Runner Mountain Coaster, The Mine Shaft Challenge Course, mountain biking, events, hiking and chairlift service for hike and bike transport. Bogus Basin is located 16.5 miles north of Boise, Idaho, and operates under a special use permit with the Boise National Forest. www.bogusbasin.org
