Blue Oval With Bogus Basin In The Center

November 23, 2018 (BOISE ID)– Bogus Basin has announced that Nordic operations for the 2018-19 winter season will officially launch on Saturday, November 24th. With several inches of snow on the ground, and more expected overnight, officials from the nonprofit recreation area made the decision to open the Nordic Center this evening.

“We are excited to get Nordic operations at Bogus Basin under way for the 2018-19 winter season,” said Director of Nordic Operations, Paul McNeil. “The Nordic trails do not require as much snow to open and the forecast is looking favorable through the weekend.” The Nordic Center will open 20km of trails including the Nordic Highway, Shaffer Butte Extension, Mores Mountain Extension, Sappers Return, and Red Tail. Frontier Point Nordic Center will be fully open for lessons, rentals, and retail. Hours are 9:00am-5:00pm over the weekend, and 10:00am to 5:00pm Monday though Friday.

Full operations at Bogus Basin are scheduled to open for the 2018-19 winter season on Saturday, December 8th, weather permitting. Check www.bogusbasin.org for updates.
