Night Operations & Back Side Open!

In the wake of a low tide season winter season, the momentum continues to build at Bogus Basin! After some detailed inspecting, we are finally ready to open the back side of Bogus Basin and night operations.

This season all locals have been chomping at the bit asking when we are opening more terrain and night operations at their favorite not-for-profit mountain. The time is finally here, night ops start Friday and Pine Creek Express & Superior Express chairlifts turn on for daytime operations starting Saturday.

The team took a trip to the back side of Bogus Basin to see how the snow was looking…While the tide is low, the stoke is high! Video filmed 12/11/2023

Nights Begin This Friday!

Starting Friday, December 15th, 2023, frontside lifts spin until 10:00 pm nightly. Hit the slopes any evening you choose and enjoy bottomless frontside laps on fan faves like Showcase and Alpine – Make sure to peep the new lights!

Lifts operating until 10 pm:

  • Morning Star Express
  • Deer Point Express
  • Coach Chairlift
  • Explorer Conveyor
  • Discovery Conveyor
  • Easy Rider Conveyor

Your mountain crew worked hard making snow and preparing the mountain for night operations, and are pleased to deliver a night-time experience within the predicted mid/late December timeframe, despite our region’s challenging start to winter 2023/24.

Night Passes are still available for purchase! The season is in full swing; purchase your pass and ride out the long winter nights!

Back Side Lifts Open Saturday!

You read that right! Starting Saturday, the back side lifts are now delivering y’all to the top of Pine Creek and Superior. All runs that we can groom are groomed by our newest PistenBully 600 winch cat, the most powerful cat available on the market.

Amid the drier than usual weather patterns affecting the region, we are doing everything we can to bring winter to the locals. We know that everyone is “patiently” waiting for more terrain. Rather than holding out, we are dropping the ropes so you can drop in!

“The start of a new season is always highly anticipated, and while we are excited to expand operations, pass holders and guests need to ride with caution, staying on groomed terrain for the best coverage”

Devon Haire, Patrol Manager

The team is emphasizing the presence of early season conditions, so be mindful of potential marked and unmarked obstacles on trail. Not all trails on the back side of the mountain are expected to open – please check the grooming report prior to riding this weekend.

Sign your winter 2023/24 Waiver!

Unfortunately, over the last few weeks of operations, we have experienced technical issues with our RFID passes. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and are working on solutions. To help ensure a smooth experience through the lift lines, we recommend that you stop by our sales office at 2600 N Basin Road before visiting the mountain to confirm that your pass is properly activated.

Not sure if you’ve signed your waiver yet? Call the Downtown Sales Office with the appropriate guest records (name, birthdate, WTP number – located on the back of your season pass) ready, and our staff will be happy to check the status of your waiver. If it turns out you need to renew your waiver, the staff member can email the address on file with a link to your waiver.

If you’re a family, military, or college pass holder, make sure that you bring your documentation to the downtown sales and leasing office or mountain ticket office. Your pass will not scan through the gate if you do not bring your documentation!

Season passes are considered invalid and do not function at the gates until a waiver is signed and proper documentation is presented.

Make sure you’re ready for an epic season at Bogus Basin!
