Daily Operations And AN Event-Filled Summer BEGIN JUNE 21st AT BOGUS BASIN

Boise, Idaho – Bogus Basin announced today that daily operations on The Mineshaft Challenge Course, Explorer Base Camp, Glade Runner Mountain Coaster, scenic chairlift rides, The Basin Gravity Park, and more, begin Friday, June 21st. The Mineshaft, a three-story, 55-foot-tall adventure course, featuring over 60 obstacles and two zip lines, is the non-profit’s newest attraction.

Boise Mountain Bike Festival

The area’s first community event is the Boise Mountain Bike Festival on June 29th. Bogus Basin’s cross country trail system and its downhill mountain biking park, The Basin Gravity Park, attract cycling enthusiasts from throughout the region. The festival is an early season highlight for the local mountain biking community.

Boise Mountain Bike Festival activities include group rides (cross country, trail, downhill, and gravel), local bike shop demos, skills demonstrations, a big air jam by pro riders, small group coaching sessions, swag giveaways, and more.

Trail Reroutes – Summer 2024

Select hiking and biking trails at the area are closed this summer, due to construction and maintenance. Guests are encouraged to read posted signage and avoid closed trails.

Community Race Series

The Community Race Series, fun and friendly competitions offering cross-country and downhill mountain bike racing, runs from June 26th to August 1st.

BOGUS BASIN BIKE SCHOOL

Mountain bike instruction, including group and private lessons are available through the Bogus Basin Bike School.

Free Events On The Mountain

Bogus Basin will host an array of free events this summer, including five Music on the Mountain concerts, Music on the Patio performances (most Saturdays-Sundays), Yoga on the Mountain sessions (most Thursdays and weekends), and guided weekend nature hikes. For youth, the area will offer free guided weekend nature hikes throughout the summer.

A number of arts collaborations, including a Boise Contemporary Theater Reading on the Mountain, special live performance by Opera Idaho, and nature art workshops, are planned throughout the summer.

Seven-day-a-week operations continue at Bogus Basin through August 25th, followed by weekend operations scheduled through September. The hours are 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, with extended evening bike park operations until 8:00 pm on select Thursdays.

About Bogus Basin Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area is a 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to engaging the community to provide accessible, affordable, and fun year-round mountain recreation and education. Opened in 1942, Bogus Basin offers 2,600 acres of daytime skiable terrain and 200 acres for night skiing, seven chairlifts and three people-mover carpets, and an 800-foot tubing hill. The Nordic Center offers 37 kilometers of groomed trails for skiing and snowshoeing. Environmental education and community outreach programs, primarily youth, serve over 20,000 individuals annually. Summer activities include The Glade Runner Mountain Coaster, The Mine Shaft Challenge Course, mountain biking, events, hiking and chairlift service for hike and bike transport.
