July 22, 2021 (BOISE, ID)– Bogus Basin is planning a variety of free events this weekend, including the second Music on the Mountain summer concert. Live music will fill the base area on Saturday, July 24th. Visitors can enjoy access to the area’s hiking and biking trail system, food and beverage service, activities such as the Glade Runner Mountain Coaster, or just relaxing on the expanse of centrally located lawn.
The nonprofit recreation area is also offering free yoga on the lawn (Saturday and Sunday, 10:30am-11:30am), a two-hour guided nature hike (Saturday, 11:30am-1:30pm), Music on the Patio (Sunday, 2:00pm-5:00pm), and free 15-minute customized assisted stretches from Stretchlab (Saturday, beginning at 2:30pm).
Saturday’s music headliner is Jesse Dayne & The Sage Brush Drifters, a country band based out of Middleton, Idaho. The opening act is Will Pfrang, who plays a mix of pop, indie, and soul rock. The concert is from 3:00pm-6:00pm. Live music at Bogus Basin will continue into Sunday with Music on the Patio, featuring Kaleigh Jack McGrath, who will play from 2:00pm-5:00pm.
Summer visits to Bogus Basin have been fueled by the recent launch of The Basin Gravity Park, the Treasure Valley’s only lift-assisted downhill bike park. Daily operating hours are 11:00am-7:00pm, with hours extended to 8:00pm on Thursdays, through July 29. Cooler temperatures at the mountain have provided a welcome respite from the ongoing unseasonably hot weather; the area is generally 15 to 20 degrees cooler than in the Treasure Valley.
