August 18, 2022 (BOISE, ID)– Bogus Basin is planning a number of late summer events. The non-profit recreation area, which wraps up daily operations after this weekend, will shift to a reduced operating schedule through October 2.
Upcoming events include the final two Music on the Mountain concerts, yoga, and a series of guided nature hikes. For the second year, Bogus Basin will join forces with two local arts organizations– Boise Phil and Boise Contemporary Theater (BCT), to bring performances to the area that attract new and diverse audiences. Those partnerships will continue.
-On Saturday, August 27 from 7:00-9:00pm, Boise Contemporary Theater will host its second annual “Reading on the Mountain.” BCT cast members will read Conor McPherson’s The Weir, the story of an Irishwoman who listens to ghostly stories while in a remote country pub. The reading will take place in the JR Simplot Base Area. Tickets are $15, purchase online through Boise Contemporary Theater.
–Boise Phil will celebrate the kickoff of its 22/23 season with a free, family-friendly community concert performance on the Simplot Base Area stage on Saturday, September 10 at 2:00pm.

About Bogus Basin Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area is a 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to engaging the community to provide accessible, affordable, and fun year-round mountain recreation and education. Opened in 1942, Bogus Basin offers 2,600 acres of daytime skiable terrain and 200 acres for night skiing, seven chairlifts and three people-mover carpets, and an 800-foot tubing hill.
