June 20, 2018 (BOISE, ID)– Beginning Friday, June 22, visitors to Bogus Basin will be able to ride the mountain coaster, take a chairlift ride, go summer tubing, enjoy a meal, rent a mountain bike, and take advantage of all of the area’s new offerings any day of the week. For the first time in its 76-year history, the nonprofit recreation area will open seven days a week in the summer. With warmer temperatures on the horizon, it is the perfect opportunity to head up to the mountain to escape the heat, get into nature, and have some fun.
“Being open every day in the summer is completely new for us and is a major step in Bogus Basin’s progress toward becoming a year-round destination for recreation and education for the entire community,” said General Manager, Brad Wilson. “We’re encouraged by how many people are already coming up for the first time to enjoy the mountain and try out our activities. What they are discovering is that there is something for everyone, and we’re excited to be accessible every day throughout the summer,” said Wilson.
Summer operating hours are from 11am-7pm daily through the Labor Day weekend. Tickets for activities can be purchased at the Simplot Lodge. In addition to the mountain coaster and other Simplot Base Area activities, a host of other events are planned throughout the summer:
