Bogus Basin Expands Group Experiences with Upgraded Venues and Year-Round Activities
Boise, Idaho – Bogus Basin officials announced today that the non-profit has expanded its focus on group gatherings, corporate retreats, team outings, weddings, and private events, with a growing emphasis on year-round activity packages that include a variety of recreation and dinning options. The area is experiencing an increase in demand from organizations seeking unique group experiences that go beyond traditional event venues and create opportunities for connection in an outdoor mountain setting just minutes from the Treasure Valley.
“More organizations are seeking experiences that connect people outside of the office. What makes Bogus Basin unique is the variety we offer. Groups can enjoy everything from an elevated catered dinner to a relaxed outdoor dining experience paired with activities like the mountain coaster, scenic chairlift, and the challenge course in the summer, or tubing, snowshoeing, and skiing in the winter.”
Colette Wright, Group Sales Manager
For nearly 85 years, Bogus Basin has brought people together, welcoming families, schools, and organizations to the mountain. The expanded group sales focus builds on that tradition by creating more opportunities for groups to connect through shared outdoor experiences year-round. To support this effort, Bogus Basin recently promoted Colette Wright to Group Sales Manager, where she will lead the organization’s growing group and event sales team. Wright has been with Bogus Basin for nearly seven years and brings extensive experience in coordinating retreats, school field trips, nonprofit events, and private gatherings of all sizes.
“Colette understands what makes Bogus Basin special and has a real passion for creating memorable mountain experiences for our guests,” said Susan Saad, Director of Community Relations. “Her experience working with organizations and groups of every size makes her an incredible asset as we continue expanding our event and retreat offerings.”
This growing focus follows more than $6 million in facility improvements, including a major renovation of the historic Pioneer Lodge. The upgraded lodge now features an elevator, making the facility fully accessible, along with seating capacity for up to 250 guests on the 3rd floor and 120 on the 2nd floor. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide panoramic mountain views, while the outdoor deck offers additional gathering space in a relaxed mountain setting.
Construction is also underway on The Outpost, a new 10,000-square-foot mountain venue that will serve skiers and snowboarders during the winter operating season, and host corporate gatherings, weddings, and large private events year-round. The indoor-outdoor space will be a flexible mid-mountain venue suitable for a wide range of events, accommodating up to 200 guests and offering full food and beverage service.
Groups visiting Bogus Basin can combine recreation, dining, and gathering spaces for everything from team-building retreats and company celebrations to school outings and non-profit events. Summer offerings include scenic chairlift rides, hiking, challenge course activities, live music, and mountain coaster rides, while winter packages can include skiing, snowboarding, tubing, and après-style group gatherings.

Event options are designed to range from elevated private events and catered receptions to casual shaded outdoor spaces with picnic-style seating and group meal packages, giving organizations flexibility to create experiences that fit their goals, style, and budget.
“For decades, Bogus Basin has been a place where the community comes together. These investments allow us to continue growing that tradition while offering more ways for groups to gather, celebrate, and experience the mountain together throughout the year.”
Susan Saad, Director of Community & Customer Relations
Summer, fall, and winter bookings are now available. Revenue generated through group events helps support Bogus Basin’s mission to provide affordable, year-round recreation opportunities for the community.
