It’s no secret — the 2025/26 winter season had a slow start, but your community mountain team remained resilient and dedicated to providing outdoor mountain recreation for the community as much as possible and as soon as we could. In fact, for the first time in our 83-year history, Bogus Basin opened and operated all frontside lifts on 100% machine-made snow. That milestone was made possible by investments in snowmaking infrastructure that began in 2016, along with continued enhancements since then.
Despite record-low snowfall and unseasonably high temperatures in December and January, your mountain team opened on Thanksgiving weekend and sustained operations until Mother Nature delivered substantial natural snowfall. Fortunately for the community, the season has taken a turn for the better this month, with 33″ of February snowfall so far, and more is in the forecast!
Thanks to the recent storms and an immense effort by the Bogus Basin team, 100% of the mountain terrain is open, and nightly operations are in full swing!

Season Pass Quantities are Limited
The secret is out – Bogus Basin Season Passes are the best deal around. To preserve the mountain experience you love, we’ve reduced the number of season passes available for sale (again). Limiting season pass sales allows us to better manage parking availablilty at peak arrival times and balance access across all 12 to 13 hours of operations.
Bogus Basin has 2,600 acres of ridable terrain, so on-slope crowding is just a rumor; however, on a handful of peak weekends, the love that our community has for Bogus Basin can create arrival and parking challenges. By thoughtfully adjusting the number of True Bogus and Winter Season Passes available, and continuing to offer a variety of other pass options, we’re able to welcome the year-over-year growth without compromising what makes Bogus Basin unique: an exceptional on-snow experience.
Please note – Season Pass quantities are limited, and may not be available later this year. Be sure to purchase your Bogus Basin Season Pass for the lowest price of the year during the 10-day Season Pass Sale, happening February 27th – March 8th, 2025!

Add A Tax-Deductible DONATION
Your investment in Bogus Basin doesn’t have to stop with your annual Season Pass purchase. Adding a tax-deductible donation to your Season Pass purchase supports the immense impact that Bogus Basin makes right here in the Treasure Valley! Level up your commitment to truly independent, community supported, recreation with a donation during the annual season pass sale! Because you can’t spell Bogus without US!

The Passport Program
The Best Way to Learn
New to skiing or snowboarding? The Passport Program is built for first-timers and beginner riders, providing everything you need to build confidence, develop skills, and have fun on the mountain — all at an unbeatable value.
Included:
- Four beginner lessons with expert instructors to teach you the right way from day one.
- Full season rental/lease equipment, so you don’t have to invest in gear upfront.
- A 2026/27 Winter Pass, so you can ride all season after your lessons.
- Spring 2026 Passport holders get the rest of this season and a 2026/27 Winter Pass, so you can start now and ride all next year!
Why Choose the Passport Program?
Thinking of getting a pass, picking up some used gear, and learning on your own, with a friend or a significant other? While that might seem like a good idea, starting with the right instruction and properly fitted gear makes all the difference in how quickly you progress and how much fun you have.
- Learn the right way the first time – A friend or partner might try to help, but expert instructors teach you the fundamentals properly, helping you progress faster and avoid bad habits.
- No gear hassle – Used gear can be the wrong size or outdated, making learning much harder. With a full-season rental/lease package, you’ll always have modern, well-fitted, and maintained equipment. More than just lessons — it’s a full season of progression – Unlike a single lesson, the Passport Program includes four sessions of instruction and gives you a full season pass afterward, so you can keep riding and building skills all winter long.
Skiing and snowboarding aren’t just sports — they’re lifelong passions. Start strong, progress faster, and have more fun with the Passport Program!
