Bogus Basin announces Free Concert Series Lineup and Summer Events including the Community Race Series, Music on the Patio, Guided Nature Hikes, and more

BOISE, Idaho – Bogus Basin, the non-profit recreation area located 16 miles from downtown Boise, Idaho, announced the dates and artist lineup for the popular Music on the Mountain free summer concert series, kicking off July 13th. Also in the works are the cross-country mountain biking and downhill mountain biking Community Race Series, Music on the Patio, Yoga on the Mountain, Guided Nature Programs, and the Boise Mountain Bike Festival.

Music on the Mountain schedule, all shows begin at 2 pm and end at 6 pm:


Free Music On The Mountain Lineup

Yoga on the Mountain, in partnership with Yoga for Life, begins Saturday, July 6th, continuing on select Thursday evenings, as well as Saturday and Sunday mornings, through September. Bogus Basin will host over 25 free Music on the Patio events on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays throughout the summer.

The first Guided Nature Program takes place on Wednesday, June 5th from 6 pm – 8 pm. Guided Nature Programs are free to the community and cover 1.5 miles at a casual pace. These programs, led by local experts, are a great way to learn something new about the natural mountain environment.

Upcoming Mountain Bike Events

This summer marks the 5th year of fun and friendly competitions on Bogus Basin’s extensive downhill and cross-country mountain bike trail system. The Community Race Series features cross-country mountain biking on Wednesdays, beginning June 26th, and downhill mountain biking, beginning Thursday, June 27th.


The annual Boise Mountain Bike Festival, which includes bike demos, group coaching sessions, and an opportunity for the biking community to gather, is on June 29th.


After the mountain closes for summer operation, Bogus Basin plans to host the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA) championship races. In 2023, the mountain welcomed over 1,200 NICA student racers.

About Bogus Basin Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area is a 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to engaging the community to provide accessible, affordable, and fun year-round mountain recreation and education. Opened in 1942, Bogus Basin offers 2,600 acres of daytime skiable terrain and 200 acres for night skiing, seven chairlifts and three people-mover carpets, and an 800-foot tubing hill. The Nordic Center offers 37 kilometers of groomed trails for skiing and snowshoeing. Environmental education and community outreach programs, primarily youth, serve over 20,000 individuals annually. Summer activities include The Glade Runner Mountain Coaster, The Mine Shaft Challenge Course, mountain biking, events, hiking and chairlift service for hike and bike transport.
