About Your Instructor
Kayla Hanson is an Idaho-born artist and educator who works primarily in oil paint. Deeply inspired by the natural world, she often paints outdoors to capture light, color, and connection to place. She holds a BFA in painting from Boise State and has exhibited her work in group and solo shows. Kayla is a member of the Plein Air Painters of Idaho, has studied with artist Robert Moore, and enjoys helping others grow through art and observation. Scholarships for this and all of our other classes are available for those who otherwise would not be able to attend art classes, thanks to generous donations to our Art Start Fund. If you would like to make classes available to others, see our sponsorships page to contribute a monthly or one-time donation. Thank you for supporting (y)our commUNITY!
