ENDURO AND DOWNHILL RACE CAMP 


What

This specialty Enduro and Downhill Race Camp is designed for intermediate to advanced riders (ages 13+) who are looking to improve their race performance. The camp will be led by Eric Yoon and Pro Riders and coaches Drake Barron and Paul McNeil. Eric is a downhill and enduro mountain bike racer who competed for several years at the pro level. He won the 2019 SRAM Rocky Mountain Enduro Championships and was the 2022 Masters Enduro National Champion. When he is not on the bike, he is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Sports Performance coach focused on working with action sports athletes.

Race Camp Itinerary

  • Starts: Gear selection, track stand, strategy, types of starts 
  • Track walk: lines, options, strategy 
  • Enduro vs. DH discussion: Strategy, endurance 
  • Maneuvers: Jump/scrub, cornering, rock gardens, braking 
  • Nutrition: Race day performance 
  • Strength and conditioning: Key focuses, basic movements

When & Where

  • Riders must be at least 13 years old to participate in Bike School Group Lessons and Clinics
  • Helmets are required
  • Elbow & knee pads are highly recommended and included in all rental packages
  • Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled session time
  • Please check in at the retail shop
  • Student to instructor ratio – 5:1

About Bogus Basin Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area is a 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to engaging the community to provide accessible, affordable, and fun year-round mountain recreation and education. Opened in 1942, Bogus Basin offers 2,600 acres of daytime skiable terrain and 200 acres for night skiing, seven chairlifts and three people-mover carpets, and an 800-foot tubing hill. The Nordic Center offers 37 kilometers of groomed trails for skiing and snowshoeing. Environmental education and community outreach programs, primarily youth, serve over 20,000 individuals annually. Summer activities include The Glade Runner Mountain Coaster, The Mine Shaft Challenge Course, mountain biking, events, hiking and chairlift service for hike and bike transport.
