Birding At Bogus Basin

Join Anna Medlin, an Idaho Parks & Recreation professional, for a guided bird walk in search of the birds of Bogus Basin. Anna has led birding tours at Indiana Dunes National Park, cloud forest sanctuaries in Kona, Hawaiʻi, and impromptu bird walks across the United States. While birding is not her full-time profession, she has developed knowledge of native birds through her education, personal observation, and a lifelong curiosity about the birds singing around her.

This easy, beginner-friendly hike will include an introduction to bird identification. Together, you’ll learn how to recognize common birds, discover tips for getting started with birding, engage more deeply with your surroundings, and practice mindfulness in nature. Participants are encouraged to bring their own binoculars and download the Merlin Bird ID app before the walk.

Meet at the Frontier Lodge parking lot for a peaceful morning walk on the mountain!

August 16 @ 8:30 AM 9:30 AM

All ages welcome (children must be accompanied by an adult)
