Creating a Sustainable Future

Late last summer, the Bogus Basin Stewardship Team led a series of volunteer native seed collection community events as part of a partnership with Boise National Forest’s Lucky Peak Nursery. After volunteers collected seeds at the area, they were transported to the nursery where they were cleaned, sorted, and germinated. Millions of seeds were collected, and the seedlings will be planted back at Bogus Basin.

As Seen in NSAA

Last year, Bogus Basin was awarded a Sustainable Slopes Cash Grant from the NSAA, which was utilized to bolster the area’s carbon sequestration efforts through extensive revegetation and erosion control projects. The Sustainability and Stewardship team at Bogus Basin is dedicated to minimizing soil and landscape disturbances while actively restoring the natural environment.

As part of their comprehensive erosion mitigation strategy, the team organized educational field trips focused on restoration for 258 local students from five schools in the Treasure Valley.
