Bogus Basin Announces Expanded Terrain And Lodge Offerings For The Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend, 11/28 – 12/1
Boise, Idaho – Bogus Basin announced plans to expand open terrain and lift service for the Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend, November 28th – December 1st. With 9″ of new natural snowfall in the last week and cold temperatures boosting snowmaking efforts, the nonprofit mountain will begin operating the Deer Point and Morning Star Express Chairlifts, and the Frontier Point Trail System for cross country skiing and snowshoeing.
Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend Operations
Lift Operating hours are 9 am – 4:30 pm on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Frontier Point Trail System Operations (Nordic Skiing & SnowshoeING)
- Trail System is open 9:00 am – 4:30 pm on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
- The Frontier Point Lodge is open for lessons, rentals, and waxing daily from 9:00 am – 4:30 pm
Lift Tickets For the Thanksgiving Weekend
Discounted Lift Tickets are available while the area continues to open new terrain. Discounts for reloading lift tickets do not go into effect until tickets are full-price. Day ticket inventories are released online on Wednesdays at 4:00 pm. If tickets remain, they will be available for purchase at the Downtown Sales Office and J.R. Simplot Lodge Mountain Ticket Office.
Tickets are $59 for adults, $45 for teens and seniors, $29 for juniors, $10 for children, and $15 for the Coach and conveyor lifts. Valid season passes are True, Beyond, Winter, and Value season passes are good from open to close. Twilight passes are valid from 3 pm to 4:30 pm.

- JoJo Beans Coffee is open from 8:30 am to 3 pm
Pioneer Lodge
- The Pioneer Grill is open Saturday & Sunday from 11 am to 4:30 pm serving a limited menu

- Less than 1% of Season Passes remain for the 2024/25 winter season
About Bogus Basin Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area is a 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to engaging the community to provide accessible, affordable, and fun year-round mountain recreation and education. Opened in 1942, Bogus Basin offers 2,600 acres of daytime skiable terrain and 200 acres for night skiing, seven chairlifts and three people-mover carpets, and an 800-foot tubing hill. The Nordic Center offers 37 kilometers of groomed trails for skiing and snowshoeing. Environmental education and community outreach programs, primarily youth, serve over 20,000 individuals annually. Summer activities include The Glade Runner Mountain Coaster, The Mine Shaft Challenge Course, mountain biking, events, hiking and chairlift service for hike and bike transport. Bogus Basin is located 16.5 miles north of Boise, Idaho, and operates under a special use permit with the Boise National Forest. www.bogusbasin.org
