Bogus Basin Plans Community events as season begins to wind down

Boise, Idaho – Bogus Basin is welcoming guests to the mountain during Spring Break week, March 14th – 22nd, with a variety of outdoor activities, special events, and programs for families and visitors. Highlights for the week include ICCU Member Week, a Kid’s Spring Break Camp, and Guided Snowshoe Tours, offering opportunities for guests of all ages to enjoy spring conditions and time outdoors.

With a forecasted spike in temperatures expected next week, Bogus Basin officials anticipate that snow conditions will be impacted. As a result, the non-profit mountain recreation area currently anticipates Sunday, March 22nd, to be the closing day of the 2025/26 winter season, though operations could extend if conditions allow.

“Spring Break is always a fun time on the mountain,” said Bogus Basin officials. “We’re excited to offer special programs and activities throughout the week and encourage guests to take advantage of the remaining days of the winter season.”

Guests are encouraged to check the Bogus Basin website for the latest updates on operating schedules, conditions, and events.

Bogus Basin Extends Gratitude For a Season of Community Spirit

“This season, the weather is deciding our closing date for us. While we’re currently projecting March 22nd as our final day, conditions will ultimately determine how long we can keep the lifts spinning. We’re incredibly grateful to our guests for riding with us this season and for supporting our non-profit mountain.”

Brad Wilson, General Manager

Skiers and riders will have their final chance to visit the backside of the mountain this weekend. Winter operations for the Bitterroot Chairlift, Pine Creek Express and Superior Express chairlifts end this Sunday, March 15th, or while conditions last. The Pioneer Lodge closes this Sunday at 4:30 pm. Night Operations end Saturday, March 21st.

“We’re incredibly thankful to our guests, season pass holders, and team members for spending the season with us, and we’re excited to take some final turns on the mountain together.”

– Nate Shake, Director of Mountain Operations
