BOGUS BASIN TO EXPAND TO FULL LIFT OPERATIONS SATURDAY, DECEMBER 3rd

The earlier than expected announcement marks another positive surprise for local outdoor enthusiasts

BOISE, Idaho – December 2, 2022 Bogus Basin announced today that 100% of lifts will operate this weekend, another earlier than expected piece of good news for local skiers and riders who are eager to hit the slopes. The non-profit has received 21” of snow in the last week, enough to add the Superior Express, Pine Creek Express, and Bitterroot chairlifts to the seven lifts already in operation

“The 80th Anniversary Season is off to a really incredible start. Celebrating Bogus Basin’s earliest opening in 28 years, the sooner-than-projected December 9th launch of night operations, and now snow conditions allowing us to fully operate well ahead of expectations is great news for our pass holders and community guests.”

Nate Shake – Director, Mountain Operations

Guests this season are enjoying a range of new upgrades and enhancements. This includes more lit trails when night operations begin December 9th. Counter to most ski areas, where daily operations end in the late afternoon, Bogus Basin remains open until 10:00 pm. This summer, the area doubled the number of lit trails off of the Superior Express chairlift and additionally on Sunshine, the newly expanded beginner trail, bringing the total number of lit acres to around 200.

“Bogus Basin’s night operations are a great example of how we continue to fulfill our mission to be affordable and accessible to the community. It’s extremely rewarding to see the continued growth.”

Brad Wilson – General Manager

A limited number of lift tickets are available, advance online purchase is recommended.
