Bogus Basin’s Music on the Mountain Summer Concert Series Kicks off Saturday with headliner Orquesta Akokán
Boise, Idaho – The first Music on the Mountain summer concert at Bogus Basin will happen this Saturday, July 11th, with musical performances by JDHIX, Ashley Rose, and headliner Orquesta Akokán.
Duck Club, a Boise-based entertainment agency, and creators of Treefort Music Festival, organized the series lineup which is full of local and touring musicians. Saturday’s headliner, Orquesta Akokán, is a Cuban Mambo band that is currently on tour in America and Europe. The band has been recognized with a Grammy nomination, as well as Billboard Latin Music Award and Telemundo Latin American Music Award nominations.

Facilities and food venues, including The Double R Ranch, Bogus Creek Lodge, and Bogus Creek Grill will be open on Saturday and Sunday, from 11 am to 7 pm.
The non-profit mountain recreation area is open for summer activities through Labor Day. Attractions, including scenic chairlift rides, Idaho’s only mountain coaster, an aerial challenge course, and downhill mountain biking, are open Wednesday through Sunday.

About Bogus Basin Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area is a 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to engaging the community to provide accessible, affordable, and fun year-round mountain recreation and education. Opened in 1942, Bogus Basin offers 2,600 acres of daytime skiable terrain and 200 acres for night skiing, seven chairlifts and three conveyor lifts, and an 800-foot tubing hill. The Nordic Center offers 37 kilometers of groomed trails for skiing and snowshoeing. Environmental education and community outreach programs, primarily youth, serve over 20,000 individuals annually. Summer activities include The Glade Runner Mountain Coaster, The Mine Shaft Challenge Course, mountain biking, events, hiking and chairlift service for hike and bike transport.
