December 30, 2015 (BOISE, ID)– There is good news for Bogus Basin night skiing enthusiasts: Excellent snow conditions and visitor levels are enabling the nonprofit recreation area to offer night skiing seven nights per week.
Following a challenging 2014-15 season, mountain officials made across the board cutbacks last spring, including plans to limit night skiing operations to four nights per week. “It is fantastic to be in the position– at least for now, to adjust our plans and respond to customers who’d like to see the mountain remain open every night” said General Manager, Brad Wilson. “We’ll continue to operate seven nights a week as long as snow conditions and visitor levels allow.”
Regular operating hours resume Monday, January 4th. The mountain will be open weekdays from 10:00am to 9:00pm, and from 9:00am to 9:00pm on Saturday and Sunday. Night skiing is available on the Deer Point (#1), Morning Star (#2), Superior (#3), and Coach (#7) chairlifts, and the Easy Rider carpet. The Frontier Point Nordic Center will be open weekdays until 4:30pm, and until 8:30pm Wednesday through Friday. The Pepsi GoldRush Tubing Hill be open, by reservation, Friday through Sunday.
Alpine lift tickets will be available beginning at 4:00pm daily. The cost is $25 for Adults/Juniors, $15 for seniors (70+), and $20 for children age 11 and under. Both the Pioneer and Simplot Lodges will be open for food and beverage service during regular operating hours.
