February 28, 2014 (BOISE, ID)– Bogus Basin recently announced the hire of Susan Saad, who will serve as the nonprofit recreation area’s Director of Development. Saad will use her background in resource development and collaborative partnership building to expand Bogus’ year-round education and recreation opportunities to individuals and families throughout the Treasure Valley.
Saad, a long-time outdoor enthusiast and community volunteer, has more than 15 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. For the past 8 years, she worked at United Way of Treasure Valley, where she directed resource development efforts and managed relationships with a cross-section of stakeholders, including foundations, corporations, government, schools, nonprofits, civic organizations, and individual donors. Prior to joining the staff, she volunteered as a member of the Bogus Basin Recreational Association.
As a community-owned asset, Bogus is dedicated to keeping mountain recreation an affordable activity for people of all ages. Increasingly, youth from throughout the area participate in educational programs that align with school curriculum and foster learning in an active, outdoor setting.
“Susan’s experience in education and health related initiatives will help us find new ways to connect more kids and families to Bogus Basin in meaningful ways throughout the year,” said Moore.
