Bogus Basin’s Tubing Hill Opens – Daily Operations Begin Monday, December 22nd

Boise, Idaho – Bogus Basin announced today that the tubing hill will open for the season Monday, December 22nd, operating daily from 9 am to 4 pm during the holiday period, then on weekends and holidays for the rest of the season. The 2025/26 season marks the 22nd year the non-profit has offered this popular winter attraction for Treasure valley residents and families. Bogus Basin’s snowmaking team produced snow using more than 1 million gallons of water, which — combined with recent snowfall — provided sufficient coverage for a safe tube hill opening.

“After a significant snowmaking effort, and some natural snowfall, the team is prepared to welcome guests to Bogus Basin for a fun, family-friendly mountain experience on the tubing hill, just in time for the holidays.”

– Jamie Zolber, Director of Skier Services

Guests are encouraged to reserve their time on the tubing hill online in advance at bogusbasin.org.

Daily Operations Begin

Daily operations at the area begin Monday, December 22nd. The Coach Chairlift, Discovery Conveyor, Easy Rider Conveyor, and Explorer Conveyor will be open from 9 am to 4:30 pm. A Coach and Conveyor lift ticket costs $25, Conveyor-Only tickets are $15.

Public bus transportation, offering daily access to and from the mountain throughout the holiday period begins Monday, December 22nd. Beginning January 2nd, the bus will provide service to Bogus Basin on weekends and holidays through March 29th. Round trip tickets cost $10, cash only.

Terrain Expansion

With winter weather forecasted this week, Bogus Basin area officials plan to open more terrain as soon as coverage allows. Top-to-bottom snowmaking efforts around the Deer Point Express and Morning Star Express chairlifts were successful last week, according to Jonathan Ostrow, Manager of Snowmaking Operations. The team converted 1.4 million gallons of water into snow on several runs as well as in the base area, in a tremendous 30 hour effort late last week.
