The Newly Remodeled Pioneer Lodge Opens to the community on Friday, January 23rd
Boise, Idaho – Bogus Basin officials announced plans to open the Pioneer Lodge to the community on Friday, January 23rd, 2026. The lodge, built in 1973, now features a refreshed exterior, an elevator, heated pavers around the entrance of the building, a renovated locker room and kitchenette, larger windows, a new family restroom on the first floor, and updated restrooms on the first and third floors.
The remodel was designed by Boise-based erstad Architects. VERTICAL Construction managed the remodel construction on the Pioneer Lodge.

Open Weekends Until Regular Night Operations begin
The Pioneer Lodge opens Friday, January 23rd at 11 am. The lodge and its food & beverage venues – The Firewater Saloon, Pioneer Grill, and La Cumbre Taqueria – will be open for weekend service on Saturdays (including Saturday nights), and Sundays. The Mountain Operations team expects to open the lodge for daily operations when entire mountain opens.

The Outpost, an additional food and beverage outlet outside of the Pioneer Lodge, is expected to open late Summer 2026.

About Bogus Basin Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area is a 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to engaging the community to provide accessible, affordable, and fun year-round mountain recreation and education. Opened in 1942, Bogus Basin offers 2,600 acres of daytime skiable terrain and 200 acres for night skiing, seven chairlifts and three conveyor lifts, and an 800-foot tubing hill. The Nordic Center offers 37 kilometers of groomed trails for skiing and snowshoeing. Environmental education and community outreach programs, primarily youth, serve over 20,000 individuals annually. Summer activities include The Glade Runner Mountain Coaster, The Mine Shaft Challenge Course, mountain biking, events, hiking and chairlift service for hike and bike transport.
