With fresh snow blanketing the mountain and more on the way, Bogus Basin, Newsweek’s Reader’s Choice Award for Best Ski Area, is primed for an unforgettable New Year.

Boise, Idaho – December 27th, 2024 – Bogus Basin is honored to announce that readers of Newsweek have recognized the non-profit mountain recreation area as the #1 Ski Area in the United States. This prestigious award, determined by an independent poll of Newsweek readers, places Bogus Basin among some of the most celebrated ski destinations in the country.

In addition to being recognized as the top Ski and Snowboard destination in the United States, Bogus Basin’s Tubing Hill was voted the seventh-best tubing hill in the United States. The Tubing Hill is just another fun way for family and friends to get together and enjoy winter at Bogus Basin. The Tubing Hill is open daily from 9 am to 4:30 pm. Walk-ins are accepted, but online reservations are always recommended.

About Bogus Basin Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area is a 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to engaging the community to provide accessible, affordable, and fun year-round mountain recreation and education. Opened in 1942, Bogus Basin offers 2,600 acres of daytime skiable terrain and 200 acres for night skiing, seven chairlifts and three people-mover carpets, and an 800-foot tubing hill. The Nordic Center offers 37 kilometers of groomed trails for skiing and snowshoeing. Environmental education and community outreach programs, primarily youth, serve over 20,000 individuals annually. Summer activities include The Glade Runner Mountain Coaster, The Mine Shaft Challenge Course, mountain biking, events, hiking and chairlift service for hike and bike transport.
