Bogus Basin 2017-18 Winter Season to End Sunday, April 8th

April 6, 2018 (BOISE, ID)– This weekend marks your last chance to hit the slopes at Bogus Basin for the season. The nonprofit recreation area announced today that 2017-18 winter operations will end at 4:30pm this Sunday, April 8th. Persistent rain and warmer temperatures, forecasted through the weekend, have impacted operations at ski areas throughout the region, and left little chance of Bogus Basin making it to the projected closing date of Sunday, April 15.

“We were really hoping we could remain open until April 15th to celebrate the end of this unusual season,” said General Manager, Brad Wilson. “After a rough start, the skiing was exceptional in mid-February throughout March. We decided to make the call now, so people can make plans to come up to make their last turns of the season this weekend.” Bogus Basin opened for the season on December 26th, 2017.

Bogus Basin Closing Weekend Operations

  • Weekend operating hours are 9:00am-4:30pm

  • The Pioneer Lodge will be open for locker and restroom access only.
  • Simplot Lodge will be open for full food & beverage service.
  • The Glade Runner Mountain Coaster will operate from 11:00am-4:30pm.

Summer season operations begin Memorial Day weekend. The area will operate three days a week through late June, then seven days a week starting June 23rd. For more information, visit: www.bogusbasin.org.
