Updated February 20, 2023
Boise, Idaho – February 17, 2023 Bogus Basin announced today that season passes for the 2023-24 season will run February 24th through March 5th, 2023. The sale offers the opportunity for recreation enthusiasts to secure the deepest discounts on a badge of honor – a Bogus Basin Season Pass. During the sale, more than two-thirds of the non-profit’s 2023-24 season passes will be snapped up by devout fans interested in locking in to one of the nation’s leading values in mountain recreation.
The 2023-24 Season Pass product options remain the same, including the popular True Bogus Pass that provides year-round access and partner mountain benefits. In the 2022-23 season, the industry leading True Bogus Pass featured unrivaled access to 50+ partner resorts. The incredibly affordable Night Season Pass, introduced last fall, is available for purchase at its lowest price point during the sale.
The purchasing process is a bit different this year, thanks to Bogus Basin’s new RFID technology. Current pass holders can now reload and reuse their same physical pass, which reduces waste, saves time, and lowers costs.
For 80 years, Bogus Basin has defined what it means to have nearby access to world-class mountain recreation and education. It is a prized local purveyor of outdoor experiences since its inception in 1942. Built for the community, by the community, Bogus Basin is a showcase for the Treasure Valley’s laid-back, outdoorsy lifestyle. Year-round offerings include lifelong opportunities for recreationalists of all ages and abilities – skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, mountain biking, environmental education, and more.
Bogus Basin’s mission of engaging the community in affordable, accessible and fun year-round education and recreation, coupled with its 501(c)(3) non-profit status, ensures that the guest experience comes first at Bogus Basin – decisions are not driven by shareholders, private financial interests, or expensive real estate deals. Earnings go back into the operation, to improve the on-mountain guest experience. In recent years, strong season pass sales and new offerings, including summer operations, have allowed the area to invest more than $40 million in capital projects.
As the Treasure Valley population and interest in outdoor recreation grows, Bogus Basin is able to manage capacity and retain its affordability by taking advantage of its long operating hours and lowering the price of season passes and tickets at off-peak times. The Twilight, Night, and Midweek pass products have exploded in popularity. The area is currently working on a new 10-year master plan, exploring options for terrain expansion, new lifts, new facilities, and more.
Bogus Basin remains committed to offering an unparalleled recreation experience for the Treasure Valley, providing 12-13 hours of daily access in the winter, and seven-day operations in the summer. The area’s diverse season pass product mix, combined with its proximity to the Treasure Valley, provides flexible, season-long access for every age group and budget.
