Mountain Statistics
Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area is located 16.5 miles north of Boise, ID and operates with a special use permit on the Boise National Forest under the USDA.
In the winter Bogus Basin is open for full winter operation. Typically our season runs early December through mid-April. Early and late season hours can change, so please check the Conditions & Webcams page or check the Hours of Operations page.

HOURS OF OPERATION
During the non-winter season, Bogus Basin is open for outdoor recreation. The base area is home to several activities like summer tubing and the Glade Runner Mountain Coaster. The Morning Star chairlift operates daily for mountain biking and scenic chairlift rides, while the Deer Point chairlift operates for mountain biking and scenic chair rides on weekends and holidays. Our hiking trails, biking trails, and bike skills park are open to the general public for free. Please pack in/pack out garbage and waste.

Lodges/Dining
Our lodges are available during the summer months (June-October) for private group reservations and events such as retreats and meetings. The lodges are open during the winter with full guest services.

Frontier Point Nordic Lodge
Located at the Nordic Trailhead, with views of the Boise Valley and seating near a gas fireplace. No cafeteria or bar. Snacks and beverages available or feel free to bring your own lunch.

Recreational and High-Performance skis, snowboards, boots, poles, helmets, snowblades available for rent and lease.

Tube Hill
An 800 foot downhill slide, with a leisurely ride back up the mountain on a conveyor lift. 100 tube capacity for a 1.5-hour session.
Due to the limited number of tubes allowed on the tubing hill for each 1.5-hour session, advanced ticket purchase strongly recommended or in person at the sales office in town at 2600 Bogus Basin Road.
