Whether you are looking to polish your technique for riding flow trails with berms and jumps or improve your race performance, our Mountain Bike Clinics are the place to learn!

We offer a variety of clinics throughout the summer season. Check the schedule below for dates, times, and topics. Whether you’re a novice, intermediate, or advanced rider, our clinics are designed to help you build confidence and elevate your skills.
Half-Day Mountain Bike Clinics
- Available at 11 am or 2:30 pm
- Includes 3-hour clinic. Bike equipment and lift access are NOT included with the clinic.
- Important information: Riders must be at least 13 years old to participate in Mountain Bike School Clinics.
- Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled session time. Please check in at the retail shop located on the JR Simplot Plaza next to the Ticket Office.
Fundamentals of MTB Riding

Join us for a fun and beginner-friendly clinic designed for riders new to lift-accessed mountain biking! Our experienced coaches will support you every step of the way as you build confidence and skills on the trails. Through a mix of drills, games, and on-trail practice, you’ll learn essential techniques like braking, descending, trail navigation, and cornering. The clinic takes place on green trails in the Basin Gravity Park, making it the perfect introduction to downhill riding.

Descending and Cornering

These clinics are designed for intermediate riders looking to refine their technique on flow and downhill trails. You’ll develop skills to improve stability and balance, along with strategies for descending more challenging terrain and cornering confidently in berms. This clinic takes place on green and blue trails in the Basin Gravity Park. Participants should be comfortable on green and easier blue trails in the Basin Gravity Park. These clinics are designed for intermediate riders looking to refine their technique on flow and downhill trails. Pumping and Jumping

These clinics are built for intermediate to advanced riders looking to elevate their skills on flow and downhill trails with berms and jumps. Learn the techniques and tips to confidently roll, jump, or pump trail features with ease and style. Participants should be comfortable on blue trails in the Basin Gravity Park.

Ladies MTB Progression Series

The Ladies MTB Progression Series is a structured, supportive program where female riders progress through key mountain biking skills over multiple sessions. It’s designed to build confidence, control, and trail flow — while connecting with other women who share your stoke for the sport.Whether you’re brand new or ready to level up, our expert coaches break down each skill in a way that’s approachable, safe, and fun. Each clinic builds on the one before, riders can only join the full series.
- 4 week sessions
- Includes four 2-hour clinics. Bike equipment and lift access are NOT included with the clinic.
- Riders must be at least 13 years old to participate in these clinics.
- Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled session time. Please check in at the Lesson Office on the ICCU Base Area Plaza next to the Ticket Office.

Important Information
- Helmets, and closed-toed shoes are required.
- Elbow & knee pads are highly recommended and included in all rental packages.
- Student to instructor ratio – 5:1.
- Check in at the rental shop to pick up your bike rental, helmet and pads. We recommend arriving one hour before your lesson if you are renting.
- Lift tickets may be picked up at the Ticket Pubs next to the Ticket Office.
- Check into the Check in at the Lesson Sales Office 15 minutes before your scheduled start time of your lesson. Students must already have their lift tickets and gear prior to checking in for their lesson
