Today’s Guided nature Program…
ANIMAL TRACKS & SIGN – SIGNATURES ON THE LAND
What, when, where, and why are wild animals doing what they are doing all around us each day? Join us for an investigation into the answers via the vast and ever-present array of wild signatures scattered about the landscape but recognized by so few. Educators, aspiring naturalists, and wildlife enthusiasts alike will discover the encyclopedia of behavioral and evolutionary information available to the trained observer. Skills in location, recognition and interpretations of tracks, scat, chewings, sheddings, burrows and countless other varieties of sign will be explored, as well as methods in track casting, collection, preservation and field records. This program is only one of the many guided nature programs offered this summer.
