Bogus Basin Randonee Race
We are sorry to announce that the
BBSP 2nd Annual Randonee Race Series
Has Been Canceled
Race overview: The goal of this event is to create a low barrier to entry, simple to manage, Randonee style race at Bogus Basin. The courses will be announced about a week before the race with the start location in front of the Simplot or Pioneer Lodges. We plan on holding two races this season which will be run independently of each other, conditions dependent. There will be an online registration and a fee of $15.00 for each race. Proceeds from the race will be used to support equipment and education for the Bogus Basin Ski Patrol. The fee will be collected on the day of the event or can be paid in advance at the Ski Patrol building, cash only, please.
Date and times: Saturday, March 21st and April 4th starting at 5:30 pm, racers must check-in at the ski patrol tent outside the Simplot or Pioneer Lodge 15 minutes before the race starts.
Course layout: The course will be decided the week before to take into account conditions and posted here. Distances will be anywhere from 3 to 5 miles and not require avalanche gear.
*There will be prize bags awarded to the top women’s and men’s finishers.
It is important to note: All racers must use the same backcountry gear and set-ups they began the race with. Any racer who does not finish the race with the same equipment they started with or changes equipment during the race will be disqualified.
Please be patient with us as this is the second Randonee Race we have coordinated, refer any questions or comments you might have to firstname.lastname@example.org. Also if interested in volunteering at the event please reach out to the same email.
We will have more information in a few days so please check back, posted 3/9/2020
