I started teaching skiing at Bogus Basin in 1985. By the season of 86-87 I had become a member of PSIA and passed my Associate Certification (= to Level II). It didn’t take long for me to discover my love for teaching skiing. Within the next several years I passed my alpine Full Cert., Telemark Full Cert. , and became a telemark divisional clinician/examiner and joined the divisional alpine clinician and examiner staff.
Realizing how much there is to learn, I decided to learn to snowboard and passed the Snowboard Level II exam, tackled the Nordic world and passed my Nordic Level II, then decided taking the CSI (Child Specialist) and CSII would be a great way to add even more depth to my understanding.
I continue to teach all ages and ability levels at Bogus Basin and love the opportunity I have to educate and mentor the instructors I work with, and those that are members of Northern Intermountain Division. Skiing is my passion, but sharing it with others is what I love.
