Private Lesson Pre-arrival Information

Pre-Arrival Information

The drive to Bogus Basin can take 1 hour from downtown Boise. Plan on extra time if you are renting equipment. Winter road conditions exist on Bogus Basin Road. We highly recommend a vehicle with 4WD/AWD, and/or snow tires. Please drive with caution, and remember to use the slow vehicle pull-out areas.

If you are bringing the whole family check out our 3+ carpool/family designated parking area. 3+ carpool/family designated parking area is only available on weekends and holidays.

Due to COVID-19, a face covering will be required in lessons this season. The CDC recommends a 2 layer mask. It is very difficult to physical distance in lessons and participants will be required to wear a face covering at all times. We highly recommend lightweight balaclavas. There are some great products out there that are 2 layer, fit under the helmet, and make it easy to keep you nose and mouth covered up.

Check out this video and learn how to turn a lightweight neck tube into a balaclava for your child.

Lift Tickets

All lesson participants must have a valid lift ticket or season pass. Lessons do not include lift tickets or season passes unless otherwise stated. Please call the Ski & Snowboard School Office for more information 208-332-5343

Parents & Guardians

Make sure your child is ready for the mountain. Eating a good breakfast or lunch will ensure your child is energized for skiing and riding. Please take your child for a bathroom break before heading out to meet their instructor. Dressing appropriately for the mountain environment will ensure your child is comfortable while skiing and riding. Check out this link for information on dressing for the mountain environment.

Parents and/or guardians must be reachable by phone and available for any issues that come up during the lessons. We do not have daycare services to assist with these situations.
