Lesson Pre-Arrival Information
Bogus Basin Road
The drive to Bogus Basin can take 1 hour from downtown Boise. Plan on extra time if you are renting equipment. Winter road conditions exist on Bogus Basin Road. We highly recommend a vehicle with 4WD/AWD, and/or snow tires. Please drive with caution, and remember to use the slow vehicle pull-out areas.
If you are bringing the whole family check out our 3+ carpool/family designated parking area. 3+ carpool/family designated parking area is only available on weekends and holidays.
Privates: Check-in for private lessons will be on the JR Simplot Lodge Plaza in front of the Ski & Snowboard School Sales Office.
Daily Groups: If you purchased a lesson package, which includes a rental and lift ticket, please check-in at the Ski & Snowboard School Sales Office on bottom level of the JR Simplot Lodge. Check-in for daily group lessons will be on the flats between the JR Simplot Lodge Plaza and the Coach Chairlift. There will be signs designating Daily Group, Ski or Snowboard.
Multi-Week Lessons: Please bring your lesson receipt with you to facilitate easier on snow check in. Check-in for multi-week lessons will be on the flats between the JR Simplot Lodge Plaza and the Coach Chairlift. Look for signs designating name of lessons. Mogul Mouse, Mountain Explorer, Mountain Adventure, Passport, and Extreme Team. Backside Basher classes meet in front of the Pioneer Lodge.
Unlimited Equipment Use: Equipment can be issued as either a season long lease or an unlimited rental. To pick up a lease, please visit the Downtown Lease Equipment Office at 2600 N Bogus Basin Road. All guests reserving equipment online or over the phone will need to visit the office prior to November 1st for gear fitting and or pickup. Guests can pick up unlimited rentals on the mountain once lease equipment is no longer available.
Rentals: Rental equipment can be picked up at the mountain. Plan for a minimum of 1 hour to get set up with rentals. In order to expedite your rental pick up you can pre-purchase online. Follow the link below to reserve your equipment.
All lesson participants must have a valid lift ticket or a season pass. Lessons do not include lift tickets or season passes unless otherwise stated.

Parents / Gaurdians
Make sure your child is ready for the mountain. Eating a good breakfast or lunch will ensure your child is energized for skiing and riding. Please take your child for a bathroom break before heading out to meet their lesson. Dressing appropriately for the mountain environment will ensure your child is comfortable while skiing and riding. Parents and/or guardians must be reachable by phone and available for any issues that come up during the lessons. We do not have daycare services to assist with these situations.
